En novembre 1991, il a été diagnostiqué comme séropositif au HIV, il s’est alors retiré de la scène, pensant ne plus en avoir pour longtemps à vivre. Vers le milieu des années 90, il revient à la vie publique en tant que peintre, producteur, et chanteur.

En 2007, il est toujours là, et n’a pas perdu son talent (je ne sais pas exactement de quand date cette vidéo).
